AUI, formerly known as Albuquerque Underground, was established in New Mexico in 1981. The company became incorporated in 1987. AUI is a multi-disciplined, diversified construction company that offers a variety of construction services for heavy civil projects. AUI boasts an annual construction volume of approximately $40 million, with in-place, completed construction of more than $250 million. Construction activities primarily consist of structural concrete and bridges, concrete paving and channels, pipelines for storm drain; sewer, water, communication and electrical ductbanks; pump stations and treatment plants; heavy dirtwork and asphalt paving; and trenchless pipeline technology. In addition, environmental activities include excavation and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials and construction at environmentally sensitive sites. AUI is headquartered in Albuquerque, N.M.
