Founded in 1966, North Albany Middle School enrolls more than 600 students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes physical education, social studies, science and math. The school also provides various after-school programs. North Albany Middle School s extracurricular activities include band, choir and drama. In addition, the school operates a parent-teacher club and library. It offers guidance counseling, food and transportation services. North Albany Middle School organizes field trips and offers community support solutions. The school maintains over 70 computer systems. It has a staff of nearly 30 employees. North Albany Middle School serves children from Central Elementary School, Clover Ridge Elementary, North Albany Elementary School, South Shore Elementary School and Waverly Elementary School. The school is a part of Greater Albany Public School District 8J.
