I lived at 23 Elk Street in 1960-61 when it was an apartment house. I lived with two other 'girls' on the beautiful first floor where we had three large rooms and a small kitchen and bath. The rooms had floor to ceiling windows and beautiful gilt mirrors. I worked at St. Peter's Hospital and my roommates were nurses at Albany Medical Center. I married a doctor and now live in Litchfield CT. I will never forget the fun times and parties we had at the "23 Club"-- next door was an actual high end restaurant called the "21 Club."
