Dr. Dellenbaugh was raised in New Jersey, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Princeton University in 1996. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Army. He attended the US Army Field Artillery Officer Basic Course at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and the US Army Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia before joining the Second Brigade Combat Team of the First Armored Division in Baumholder, Germany in 1997. While on active duty, he was deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina as part of Operation Joint Guard/Joint Forge to support the Dayton Peace Accords. He left active military service in 2000 and returned to the United States. Dr. Dellenbaugh earned his medical degree in 2007 from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. In 2012, he completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Albany Medical Center. Following residency, he completed a foot and ankle fellowship at Penn State Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He is an active member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the New York State Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Medical Society of the State of New York, and the American Medical Association.
