General Info

Dr. John T. Whalen is a graduate of the Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic residency at Albany Medical Center followed by a one year spine fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. Dr. Whalen is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His expertise includes general orthopaedics and disorders of the cervical and lumbar spine. He is also trained in artificial disc replacement surgery. Dr. Whalen is the Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Chief of Surgery at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy, New York.
