I have been going to Central Vet for almost 20 years with a variety of dogs and cats. Although it is not convenient to where I live and there is a vet around the corner, I would still never switch. Drs Michel, Karen and Sara and all of the other staff have been wonderful throughout the years. If I have something that I am concerned about, they never hesitate to have me come right down, even though it may make them late going home for the evening. I have found the vets there to be honest and forthright with me regarding the care of my pet, even when those tough decisions need to be made. They put the animal's well-being first and foremost. They always make me and my pets feel welcome, even when my basset hound makes the "ugly face" :-) They are the BEST!!!

I will never take my pets here again. My diabetic dog almost died because they "assumed" his insulin dosage. They did not write down the accurate information in his chart, despite the fact that I physically brought his insulin and needles with me, and had his complete medical records faxed prior to our first appointment. The office staff was completely unapolagetic and acted like their blatant errors were unimportant. My husband is in the medical profession, and if a nurse or doctor made this kind of error, they would be fired and sued. The vets are too busy to talk to their patients, and I was actually stood up for a scheduled appointment. In summary: rude service, inept medical care.
New in town I had a hard time finding a knowledgeable caring vet for my bird. Dr. Karen Krause at Central was the best. I saw her once for a well-bird check-up, and then, in a crisis. I believe her care saved my bird's life. Additionally, the staff were responsive to my concerns, valued my knowledge of my pet and got me in immediately even though I know it meant an inconvenience to them. While I can only report my experience with my bird and the care he received. I did see the staff interact with customers, rabbits, cats, dogs and people and everyone seemed happy.
