General Info
The Pain Management Center at Phoebe offers a comprehensive range of services for patients suffering from various degrees of chronic pain. Pain is a complicated, often debilitating medical problem that can have a major impact on your physical and mental well-being. The Pain Management Center’s team of specialists provides some of the most advanced treatment options in a supportive, compassionate environment. They work to identify and reduce or eliminate chronic pain so patients can return to an active and productive lifestyle. Phoebe's Pain Management Center is staffed by a team of professionals who work with patients to achieve the goals of lessening pain and restoring function—all geared towards maintaining a better quality of life. The treatment team is led by Dr. Lamar H. Moree, Jr., who has dedicated his career to reducing and eliminating pain. Dr. Moree is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology with a subspecialty certification in Pain management. Pain is an uncomfortable feeling that tells you something may be wrong. It can be steady, throbbing, stabbing, aching, pinching, or even debilitating. Other physical symptoms that often accompany chronic pain include poor physical conditioning, depression and medication overuse. Targeting Chronic Pain Pain is classified as either acute or chronic. Acute pain is usually severe and short-lived, and is often a signal that your body has been injured. Chronic pain, what our team specializes in treating, can range from mild to severe. Chronic pain is present for long periods of time and is often the result of a disease or condition that may require ongoing treatment. Currently, the best way to treat the pain is to manage the symptoms. If the source of your pain can’t be treated, or isn’t known, our pain medicine specialists can offer options for pain control.

Unquestionably the kindest, most caring and compassionate team I have encountered. These people are dedicated and professisonal. Due to this clinic's popularity, the waiting room holds about 50 patients, and the waiting room time is always over an hour and many times over two hours. Dozens of people in severe pain sit in agony, but the wait is worth the excellent personal treatment paitents receive from the MD and the PA.
