Jackson Heights Elementary School is a part of the Dougherty County School System. Located in Albany, Ga., the school serves more than 500 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Georgia Accrediting Commission. Jackson Heights Elementary School s facilities include a library and media center, computer laboratory, gymnasium, gifted and talented education and regular classrooms, locker rooms, and remedial reading, math, art and music rooms. In addition, it has a cafeteria, playground, track, special education classrooms, primary project rooms, and psychologist's and social workers' offices. Jackson Heights Elementary School offers a range of extracurricular activities, such as chorus, downhill skiing, safety patrol, intramurals and student council.
