North Alamo Elementary is an educational institution that conducts classes in music, art and physical education. It enrolls students in pre-kindergarten though grade five. The school imparts instruction in mathematics, science, language arts and social studies. It has been recognized as one of the Just for the Kids High Performing Schools in Texas for academic excellence in mathematics and reading. North Alamo Elementary participates in accelerated reader program and maintains a science laboratory and library. The school conducts several recreational, social and educational programs, such as book fairs, reading nights, and Veteran's Day, fall festival and red ribbon week celebrations. Additionally, it maintains online resources for parents, teachers and students. North Alamo Elementary is a part of the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District, which governs elementary and secondary schools.
