Hatton Elementary School, located in Akron, Ohio, provides a range of educational programs for the intellectual, physical, emotional, spiritual and social development of children. It serves more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade five. It offers English as a Second Language, Character Counts, accelerated reading, after-school intervention and peer mediation programs. The school also provides the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program. It involves students in a range of extracurricular activities, such as school safety patrol, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, computer club, grade-level tutoring, harp ensemble, band and orchestra. Hatton Elementary School is a part of Akron Public Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
