The City of Green Fire Division provides fire, rescue and emergency medical services. It operates a communication and dispatch center that has multichannel, programmable radios that assist in coordinating responses to various emergency and nonemergency calls for service. The division provides self-help instructions to callers and cross trains firefighters as paramedics who provide drug therapy and handle cardiac monitoring. The City of Green Fire Division s fire personnel respond to cases related to homeland security and domestic preparedness, as well as receive training to handle mass casualty incidents. It also maintains an alarm division that offers emergency ambulance transportation to residents. The division is located in North Canton, Ohio.
