The MEDLamp LED Headlamp and adapter features several improvements over standard headlamp designs. The MEDLamp designed adapter provides the user with two points of adjustment, increasing flexibility and usefulness of the light. This process is accomplished by creating an adapter that moves the LED away from the forehead, where it can be positioned to emit light forward from just above the bridge of the nose (optimal light position for most forward facing medical procedures). It can also be positioned up and away from the forehead facing directly down. This is excellent for working close to the body without blinding yourself with light from a headlamp with no outward adjustment. The MEDLamp adapter is manufactured in the U.S. using high quality ABS plastics and 3D printing techniques. The MEDLamp adapter itself comes with our personal guarantee. If it breaks, just pay postage and we will send out another unit. We care about the quality of our products and will stand behind them. The headlamp chosen uses a powerful Cree XM-L2 LED, with two 18650 Lithium Ion rechargeable batteries. We personally run every battery through a charge/discharge cycle to test its functionality and verify its milliamp hour rating. The headlamp includes two chargers (USB, and 110V), and can be used as a charging station for your cell phone! The beam can be focused or spread depending on your application. 4 light modes are possible: bright, medium, strobe, and SOS flash. The headlamp battery pack is located on the rear of the head to act as a counter balance for improved comfort and operation. In combination with the MEDLamp adapter, this headlamp can put light exactly where you need it for medical procedures while being out of the way and comfortable.
