i took my daughter to Michelle's looking for a homecoming dress. My daughter was treated like a princess by the staff and the selection was amazing. I will never go any where else to purchase formal wear again. the service was outstanding and the staff were so helpful. the quality of dresses are top notch. I wish had had found this store before now>>>> would have never gone any where else!

Bought my whole homecoming outfit from there ! They were great! Not only good prices, but WOW, what a selection! Most beautiful and unusual jewelry I've ever seen! I'll be back for prom!! Thanks Mrs. Michelle !! You were so nice!!!

visited for the first time today...great service...let me choose what I wanted to look at instead of trying to "show" me what I wanted to look at (which irritates me).So very helpful in getting dresses put back where they belong...friendly, friendly, friendly. Had 1/2 sale and had many sizes in the size I needed to choose from. I will definitely be back.

For the one who mentioned the jewelry box make sure you write ur review on the right page! And by the way the dress that's been in the window for a while now is actually an large. Maybe you should get your information straight. For the people who are rude about Michelle's I guess you must be rude yourself. I have never walked into that store without having the employees being super nice. I'd you want to talk about rude employees maybe you should try a Tifton store or two. Then you may see rude employees. At Michelle's they are a formal wear store focusing on pageant and prom. They have pleanty of short "homecoming" dresses. The prices will be more because they short prom dresses not homecoming. The guest who commented on getting a dress at JCPenney I can promise you your dress quality will not be anywhere close to a dress from Michelles! Until you have been to a shop, boutique, store, ect more than once you shouldn't place judgement on the place. I love Michelle's and you should go!

I go to Michelle's for absolutely EVERYTHING! The staff is great, they are honest in a nice way and very helpful. Michelle's has a great selection and will also work with you to order a dress if they don't have it in stock. when you go in the staff is always polite and ready to help. For the people who have written negative reviews you must be plain out RUDE yourself, or maybe just born with a silver spoon in your mouth. The staff always is ready to help and never does anyone walk around in that store without getting help. They say hello and ask how they can help you as soon as you walk in the door!

worst store EVER!!!

I am an employee of Michelle's Formal Wear, and it is a GREAT place! I have been to many shops in the area with friends and have been very disappointed! Michelle is a GREAT person and has a wonderful staff! Im not saying that jus because i work for her. If it was a bad place to shop we would be rated one of the TOP 10 PROM stores in the UNITED STATES!!! If anyone else can tell me where u can find a store that good around here, PLEASE let me know!! We have beautiful intelligent employees that are courteous and very knowledgeable! If you have had a bad experience i ask that you visit us again. And for those of you who left our store and went to a department store to purchase a dress, good luck....... We only have one of every dress to keep others from the same school from having the same dress. And we have dresses of every size from 0 to 30! We are here for the customers! we will do ALL we can to accommodate our customers! Thanks to all those who have shopped with us!

your right its not walmart!!! walmart workers are alot more helpful. you would think running a dress shop they would know a little more about dresses!!!!

WORST STORE EVER. I am from Valdosta and I googled prom dresses and it pulled up Michelles formal wear so i thought my daughter and i would stop in well we walked in walked around the whole store and then finally seen someone that worked there and i guess she was in the back talking on the phone so she hung up the phone when she seen us and asked if she could help but she wasn't much help at all. needless to say im not going back to that shop again.

If you dont wear a size 2 there is no need stopping by. if you like the dress or the shirt in the jewelry box window you might as well keep driving because thats the only one shes got and its probably a size XS. they dont have 2 shirts the same in different sizes like regular stores.

I go to this store for every event, and always recieve great service!! The people who work for this store are always courteous and helpful. I cannot understand the reviews that are left about the staff as they are always wonderful and I am a repeat customer that has been coming for many years. If you are reading these reviews and not going to Michelle's you are missing out on a wonderful experience and great dresses. There is nowhere in the area that contests this store. These bad reviews must be from people who are ignorant or rude themselves!!

i went in Michelles to buy a dress for my daughter and they were very rude and everyone talking about everyone!! i asked to speak with the owner but she wasn't available because i was going to let her know about the girls she had running her business was not very helpful and were too busy talking about everyone!! but i did stop back by one day to tell the owner but she wasn't available again so i just said well if she wants her business ran into the dirt thats fine with me. and by looking on the reviews on this page i see that her business is not so good anyways. i will not be back in there

This store is great! Could not believe the great selection in such a small town. Loved the small town charm and southern hospitality we recieved, while we had the lastest and best styles to choose from !!!

I went in to this store today with my daughter looking for a homecoming dress. The service was terrible as in we got none and the selection was just as bad! Only 3 VERY small racks of homecoming dresses and those were rather dull and boring or just plain ugly. Not to mention the prices for said dresses. $200 for a plain black dress with nothing more in the way of decoration than a bit of gold sequins.We went to JC Penny's in Valdosta got a GORGEOUS dress and spent 1/4 of the price. Save your money and shop elsewhere!

Just left Michelle's with a GORGEOUS Homecoming dress!!! The staff was very helpful, and even helped us pick dresses out. Very polite, and very friendly people in this store. A+++ Service! They have a great selection of dresses for all kinds of events, and all sizes. This was my first trip and i will definitely be back for everything formal wear!! VERY IMPRESSED!
