General Info
First off, what's up with the name "La Cocina?" Well, actually, it's simple. "La Cocina" means the 'kitchen' in Spanish. It's pronounced as though the "i" in Cocina was an "e". So it sounds like it should be La Cocena. La Cocina was started in 2003. Our first restaurant was in Acworth at the Publix center at Brookstone on Mars Hill Road. Soon afterwards we opened our Dallas location in the Kroger center at the intersection of highways 278 and 61.Our every effort is to make sure that your visit with us is as pleasing and enjoyable as possible. We strive hard to make sure that your food is delicious and consistent and that your service can't be beat. We were once asked what brand of canned beans we used because they were so good. Our beans and rice come in 100 pound bags and we cook them. They never come from a can. Our salsa... fresh every day. We only use freshest and finest ingredients. That's' why our food tastes great! If you are not already, we hope that you will soon become our guest. And, that's the way you should always be treated when you visit us, as though you were our guests in our home... which you are. We realize one very important thing, and that is, without you we would not exist.First off, what's up with the name "La Cocina?" Well, actually, it's simple.
