- Dental ExaminationDepending on what we find during your examination and cleaning, Scaling and Root planning may be just what your dentist orders. SRP differs from the standard professional cleaning. Instead of removing stains, bacteria, and stubborn plaque at the gumline, SRP involves removing disease-producing substances from underneath the gumline. Our knowledgeable and well-trained professionals also smooth rough root surfaces. Rough surfaces tend to collect germs.
- X-raysHere at Acton Dental we use digital imaging which has many advantages over traditional film x-rays, Such as they use up to 70% less radiation than traditional film x-rays, take less time to capture and are easier to take than traditional film x-rays, use streamlined designs taking the pain out of taking dental x-rays, have better quality viewing capabilities than traditional film x-rays, take the waiting out of the development process allowing us to see what is going on immediately, prevent issues from going undetected and/or missed, decrease your time in the chair, are easily stored on a computer, can be easily transferred to other dentists or orthodontists when referrals are needed, and are more environmentally-friendly.

- Fillings
- Resin CompositeGaps — You may have developed a gap over time. Or a space you’ve always had between teeth may have widened with time. Our doctors shape composite resin to close gaps and fill in excess spaces between teeth.
- VeneersIt is essential for our patients to understand why porcelain veneers are placed in the first place. So, they can appreciate that the process supports a far more stunning smile, as well as the health and safety of the teeth, gums, and other oral tissues.
- CrownsFollowing a thorough consultation using the latest diagnostics that modern dentistry has to offer, our dentists may determine that dental inlays and onlays are an appropriate way to restore a portion of a tooth with a worn or large filling or repair decay that is too extensive to be corrected with a simple filling. Yet, the damage to the tooth may not require a full-coverage dental crown. Inlays and onlays treatment also represent conservative dentistry at its finest. The damaged areas of the tooth are removed precisely. Tooth-like materials are then used to replace only the damaged areas. Such techniques conserve maximum natural tooth material.
- BridgesJust as an architectural bridge spans two points, we can create a dental bridge to span the space between two teeth. You may have gaps in your smile due to tooth decay, gum disease, or other trauma that irrevocably damages the tooth. Severely decayed, broken, or damaged teeth cannot be restored with root canal therapy and surgical endodontic treatments. In those cases where a natural tooth cannot be preserved, our doctors recommend prompt tooth replacement.
- Dental BondingIt’s not enough to have a tooth that merely looks too short, is chipped, or is deeply stained. Dental bonding may be a good fit with your budget, schedule, and long-term goals. It is generally considered a more affordable and more accessible alternative to veneers. The procedure is also reversible since bonding materials are applied directly to the tooth with minimal preparation

- Deep CleaningA dental checkup, scheduled once every six months, is considered to be the “standard” for healthy patients. These routine appointments essentially involve a thorough exam and professional cleaning by one of our skilled dental hygienists. However, a “deep cleaning” may be on the horizon for some patients.
- DenturesFundamentally, dentures should not be accepted as a “normal” part of aging. Our practice is built on a foundation of preserving natural teeth. We do so with a combination of gentle, family-focused care and modern dental techniques and technologies.
- Overdentures
- Dental ImplantsImplant-supported teeth should last a lifetime! After all, they are designed like natural teeth. The most natural design facilitates the most natural appearance and function. Immediate placement of implants also stops or prevents the destructive process of bone loss. Due to a lack of stimulation from the teeth via chewing food and other behaviors, the bone in the jaw can shrink. This process results in all sorts of problems with speech and eating, and the lack of supporting bone can also prematurely age your face.

- Tooth ExtractionsWe work with the patient to ensure the safest and most pleasant experience at our practice. Before treatment, we discuss factors that can influence the techniques that we use during your procedure. We account for everything from the nature of the treatment (for instance, if patients undergo procedures like root canal therapy or tooth extractions), medical history, and the medications and supplements taken to manage those conditions.

- BracesClear aligners are oral appliances. They are primarily designed to fit your mouth. When placed in your mouth and worn as directed, these appliances place consistent, gentle forces on the teeth to incrementally reposition them. The aligners are made from clear or transparent materials. So, they don’t stick out in your smile. They are considered an alternative to traditional braces that use brackets, wires, and bands to move teeth through the bone.
- Teeth WhiteningIf your teeth have naturally lost their luster over time or are stained by a coffee habit, we have teeth whitening methods to fit your needs, lifestyle, and preferences.
