Dr. Nichols is a Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist who received her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center. She earned her post-graduate fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Geisinger Medical Center. She is an active member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), Philadelphia Area Reproductive Endocrine Society (PARES), The American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOOG), The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) & the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). Dr. Nichols has presented at numerous conferences across the country, and has written multiple publications regarding endometriosis, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and uterine abnormalities. Among her extensive research topics, she has focused on genetic components (using microarrays) associated with endometriosis leading to pain during menstruation (dysmenorrhea), pelvic pain and infertility. Dr. Nichols has received many honors and awards from the American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology. She offers state-of-the-art treatments, and is highly skilled in the latest fertility techniques and third party reproduction. Her particular area of interest is in fertility preservation for women. She is heading the egg freezing / oocyte cryopreservation program for women with cancer desiring to bank their eggs prior to potentially sterilizing chemo / radiation therapy, as well as women desiring to electively delay pregnancy for the future.
