Hickory St is an excellent choice for a downtown lunch in a cute Victorian. It's also the choice of alot of "ladies who lunch" so be sure to get there by 11:30 to get a table if your'e on a lunch break! They always have different fresh quiche and soups, and we love the chicken salad with grapes and cashews. They are known for their zucchini bread particularly, and consider buying a loaf to take home. Their air conditioning works well in the whole restaurant. Only drawback to mention may be lack of any privacy. Rooms are small and tables are close together and it gets very loud in the back room. Food makes up for it though! Desserts are delicious too. And the foyer and upstairs area feature hand crafted gift items not seen in other stores in town. They have a parking lot, but (hate to say this) the older folks who park in there aren't the best backer-uppers! Better to park on the street.
