General Info
Eisenhower Presidential Library & Museum preserves and disseminate the records related to the history of Dwight D. Eisenhower through research, exhibits, public programs, publications and outreach. It is operated by the National Archives and Records Administration that provides federal funding for operating expenses. It organizes various public programs that include scholarly seminars and lectures, performances and light entertainment, special exhibit openings, special training and educational materials for teachers and research seminars for students. The library offers a collection of more than 36,500 museum objects, over 1,100 hours of audio tapes and discs and nearly 31,700 pages of oral history transcripts. Eisenhower Presidential Library & Museum was established in 1962 and is located in Abilene, Kan.
